I grew a year older last week. 22.
Growing older...changing. It feels like everything is changing except me. I got quite a few presents, and I'm grateful for the friends that I have. But then I know, some things are missing. People I love or used to love me are slowly disappearing. Why do people change? Why do things vanish when you need them the most?
I don't know what this new age will bring. I'm too scared to find out. I know I always act tough, but inside I'm just a coward, a little kid who can't go to new places alone. And now I truly am alone. Alone in a mad world.

Someone once told me of a story about a hermit who lived on a hill overlooking a village. The village well was poisoned, and everyone in the village went crazy. The hermit refused to drink from the well, because he did not want to become like the villagers. Everyday the villagers taunted him, urging him to drink and become merry like them. Even though they had been poisoned and were not themselves, he could see that they were very happy. After many years the hermit was so lonely isolated on the hilltop that he gave in and went down to the village, drank from the well and became like the others.

If only I lived in a pineapple under the sea...
